Am I washing these correctily?

We recently switched to cloth for my two-year-old daughter. We are using perfect-size Fuzzibunz diapers with inserts. My problem is that even after they are washed, they still have a faint smell or urine and feces. There are no visible stains.

Here is how I usually wash them:

1. Rinse cycle in cold water
2. Wash in hot water
3. Rinse in cold
4. Rinse in cold
5. Dry inserts in dryer on low heat, hang dry outer diapers

Any suggestions as to why this is happening? They LOOK clean, but they sure don't smell it.

not using enough detergent? i didnt see detergent listed im assuming you are using some heh.
haha, ya, I'm using detergent. I try not to use too much, so you could be right.
vinegar in the first rinse helped us with odor ...
We soak in oxyclean and then run the spin cycle before washing.
you need some kind of laundry rinse/disinfectant...for instance i live in australia & i use this....

combining something similar with a good soap powder (scented) will def. do the trick...i used to use a cheaper soap powder & my nappies still smelt horrid but combining a good one + dettol laundry rinse worked a treat...no more poop & pee smelling clean nappies.
also washing on a "long" cycle is more efficient than a short cycle...

my routine is usually.

rinse cold
wash hot (60 degrees celcius)
